GID.LGBT Acceptable Use Policy
Registrants of Names in the GID.LGBT Top Level Domain (TLD) are responsible to ensure that such Names are at all times registered and used in compliance with all applicable national, federal, regional, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations (“Applicable Laws”), including, without limitation, applicable laws relating to hate speech, discrimination and other such activities.
Registrants are prohibited from using the GID.LGBT domain in a manner that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or hateful with respect to the LGBT community. Domain names that are likely to deceive, disparage or cause a material detriment to the LGBT community are explicitly prohibited (e.g., ihate.lgbt, anti.lgbt, etc.).
In addition to any other rights of the Registry Operator (“Registry”) existing under the Registry-Registrar Agreement between the Registry and any applicable registrar or otherwise, the Registry reserves the right to deny or cancel the registration, renewal, or transfer of any Registered Name; or to place any Registered Name on registry lock, hold, or similar status, with respect to any such Registered Name that the Registry, upon reasonable belief formed after reasonable investigation, deems to be registered or used in a manner that constitutes a violation of the GID.LGBT Acceptable Use Policy.
The Registry is not responsible for registrants' content, and therefore, cannot guarantee that sites in the GID.LGBT TLD will be free from content that violates this Acceptable Use Policy. However, failure to enforce this Policy does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it; nor does this Policy create any obligations to users or any third party beneficiary rights or private rights of action.
Registrants in violation of any Applicable Laws may be subject to prosecution or other enforcement of such Applicable Laws by the appropriate authorities.
